Unexpected quality - better than wooting!

I had used a wooting before. The software was awesome, but to be honest, the build felt cheap. The wobbling of some switches, the creaking of plastic - it was cool, and because wooting was ahead in software for a while, it didn’t seem too bad. (It wasn’t mine but I was using it)

But after a while I wanted to get a new keyboard, specifically an HE one. I came across the Magger… and wow. To be honest, this keyboard has duel purpose - to be used as a PC peripheral, and a dang weapon. It has nice weight to it, not just full cheap plastic. It doesn’t move around while using it. I got the pro with jade pros - the switches are smooth and don’t wobble. It’s kind of “thocky” which I love - the wooting had a higher frequency and was kind of annoying.

The software was a bit buggy at first - took me a few odd tries of pressing update , and unplugging and plugging it back in for it to finally update. After that, zero issues. Has all the same functionality of a wooting, but the build quality is superb.

At this point, wooting is kind of like the “Apple” of HE keyboards. You pay a lot for the brand, but better buildzoid and hardware can be found elsewhere.

If they iron out the software bugs / quirks, it’s easily a 5 star. I’d give it 4.5/5 but I can do half a star. Highly recommend this keyboard!!!

Whoting?

Look. The inevitable comparison of this this vs the wooting 60/80 HE is going to come up and I can tell you having had both models, you're not gonna be able to the tell the difference. Unless you're actually tenZ and even then I have my doubts. The board feels incredible. The pro is definitely worth the extra money for the jade pro switches and the software is easy to use. The only note I'd say that a lot of people leave out is that if you need to remap keys make sure you remap all the layers.
Sound: Great out of the box, it's one of the quieter boards out there which is what I prefer. But still has a nice satisfying sound when you're just typing normally.

Switch feel: very consistent and it's VERY easy to tell where you are in the actuation. It's also customizable so you can dial it to your preferences, everything from actuation distance, dead zones and bottom out reset. PER KEY! For this price point it's almost unheard of.

Software experience: a little tricky at first if you're not used to how most keyboard software works but you set it and forget it and honestly it doesn't take much effort to understand, it's all fairly intuitive.

Key caps are a solid double shot pbt with a great feel. Luminkey sent me the wrong color way but the keyboard was honestly so good I didn't actually care.

Deck is a beautiful machined aluminum, and the bronze accents underneath on the off white and orange color way are really cool I actually ended up liking it more than the initial color way I chose so it was happy accident.

Deck is aluminum so zero flex, nice and weighty with a perfect 7° angle so most wrists rests you can find wild fit it.

Gaskets were chosen very well. This is my main gaming keyboard now yes over my wooting 60he. This just is the whole package. Everything you wanted out of an he gaming focused keyboard but also has much better aesthetics in my opinion and at this price point I doubt you'll find anything better. I doubt you'd find anything better in the next price bracket up.

If you're thinking about it, I can say with confidence you won't be disappointed.

A sturdy, good looking keyboard great for performance.

This keyboard is really good for the price. The keys sound nice, the design is clean (cream colored), has a good weight to it, and performs well on games.

Love the keyboard!

I wish the side of the unit had a bit more RGB since tachyon mode is a thing it shouldn’t be a problem in regards to performance.
